After it was announced that Betty White had died at 99, there was a flood of support on social media. The Golden Girls <\/em>Although star would have celebrated her 100th birthday on January 17, 2001, even her agent and close friend commented that it was a very special day. People <\/em>Magazine, “I believed she would live forever.”<\/p>\n

Her fans believed exactly the same. Her death was the most popular topic on Twitter.<\/p>\n

Betty White stated that she wanted her children to remember her in 2016. The Hollywood Reporter <\/em>(@THR)<\/p>\n

CNN (@CNN) tweeted, “Betty White, the self-described \u201clucky old broad\u201d whose characters were a beloved fixture on TV shows and movies such as ‘The Golden Girls,’ ‘Boston Legal’ and ‘Hot in Cleveland,’ has died, her agent told People magazine. Her age was 99.<\/p>\n

“The energetic blonde with the honeyed voice and girl-next-door beauty was one of the rare performers to remain as popular into her nineties with new generations of viewers \u2014 thanks to reruns of ‘Golden Girls’ \u2014 as she was in her sitcom heyday,” tweeted Variety<\/em> (@Variety)<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m so sad about this. At people magazine reported that Betty White, who was 99 years old, has passed away. The issue’s January cover featured her as an honorary front cover. That\u2019s because she was to turn 100 on January 17th, 2022. #thankyouforbeingafriend,” wrote CBS News’ David Begnaud (@DavidBegnaud)<\/p>\n

CNN’s Don Lemon uploaded video of the meeting and added the caption “RIP #BettyWhite” We will miss you. Such an honor to have been able to sit down and speak with you\u2026.They don\u2019t make \u2018em like that anymore. #Legend”<\/p>\n

“A spirit filled with goodness and optimism. Betty White is a beloved person because of her personality and willingness to live a fulfilled life. It was her smile. Your sense of humor. It was her basic humanity. We would all be happier if others followed her lead. She has left it to a lesser extent,” tweeted Dan Rather (@DanRather), former CBS News anchor.<\/p>\n

She would have lived forever, I thought. After reading about her 100th Birthday bash, the idea of how awesome she was made me give to an animal charity. This lady was !!!” a marvellous woman. remarked @MultiCareerGirl.<\/p>\n

@Sucbasue88 commented, “Her Saturday Night Live appearance is EPIC!”<\/p>\n

Singer Thomas Sanders (@ThomasSanders) may have summed it up best, posting, “I mean\u2026 what\u2019s a better testament to your legacy than having the whole world dreading when you\u2019re going to say goodbye? Betty White, you were an incredible one<\/p>\n

Betty White is one of the most beloved and revered celebrities. She brought together people in times such as these.<\/p>\n

Betty White is a comedian, actress and trailblazer. Scott Steinberg (brand marketing expert, social media pundit) said she was instrumental in opening doors for generations of comedic and straight-shooting women entertainers.
